Seeds are mysterious. How can such a small object hold such enormous potential? A tiny seed humbly holds a vibrant energy that brings forth something that can serve as a starting point. In its small structure lies the possibility for growth and transformation.

'Seeds of Unity' is a project that was born spontaneously on a rainy Thursday afternoon in January 2025, while playing with some new art supplies and small wooden circles that had recently arrived.  Sitting quietly in front of the worktable, with no plan or expectations, just waiting for a direction or idea to make itself known. All of a sudden I picked up the small wooden circle and painted it a solid color. A green folder at the end of the table was full of mandala designs from a past project. Opening it, out fell a small circular design which was just the correct size for the wooden circle in front of me. This was the beginning. As often happens in any creative process, when we are patient enough to empty our minds, a seed of an idea will find its way to fertile ground and settle in while waiting to be cultivated, and cared for until it grows and takes form. The mandala, a geometric design filled with intricate patterns and colors, can serve as a spiritual symbol of unity and harmony. Over the years it has been of interest to me and the subject of various workshops given or artworks created. The mandala came naturally as a symbol to paint on the small wooden circles that were calling for attention from the worktable. As a technique was developed and the first circles were completed a sense of harmony, wholeness, and unity arose.  It permeated the mind and body while also filling the studio with these harmonic designs. Noticing this, it became inevitable that these little brightly colored objects would be shared with others. As little unexpected packages began arriving through the postal service, to people near and far, an invisible network began to form. A simple action carried out with love, a small object as a reminder of unity and harmony and an energetic footprint of caring vibrations moving out into the world.

"Seeds of Unity" è un progetto nato spontaneamente in un piovoso giovedì pomeriggio di gennaio 2025, mentre giocavo con alcuni nuovi materiali artistici e piccoli cerchi di legno che erano appena arrivati. Seduto in silenzio davanti al tavolo da lavoro, senza piani o aspettative, aspettando solo che una direzione o un'idea si facesse conoscere. All'improvviso ho preso il piccolo cerchio di legno e l'ho dipinto di un colore pieno. Una cartella verde alla fine del tavolo era piena di disegni di mandala di un progetto passato. Aprendola, è caduto fuori un piccolo disegno circolare che era proprio della dimensione giusta per il cerchio di legno di fronte a me. Questo è stato l'inizio. Come spesso accade in qualsiasi processo creativo, quando siamo abbastanza pazienti da svuotare la nostra mente, un seme di un'idea troverà la sua strada verso un terreno fertile e si stabilirà in attesa di essere coltivato e curato finché non crescerà e prenderà forma. Il mandala, un disegno geometrico pieno di motivi e colori intricati, può fungere da simbolo spirituale di unità e armonia. Nel corso degli anni è stato di mio interesse e oggetto di vari workshop tenuti o opere d'arte create. Il mandala è venuto naturale come simbolo da dipingere sui piccoli cerchi di legno che richiamavano l'attenzione dal tavolo da lavoro. Man mano che si sviluppava una tecnica e si completavano i primi cerchi, è emerso un senso di armonia, completezza e unità. Ha permeato la mente e il corpo, riempiendo anche lo studio di questi disegni armonici. Notando ciò, è diventato inevitabile che questi piccoli oggetti dai colori vivaci venissero condivisi con gli altri. Man mano che piccoli pacchi inaspettati arrivano tramite il servizio postale, a persone vicine e lontane, ha iniziato a formarsi una rete invisibile. Un'azione semplice eseguita con amore, un piccolo mandala dipinto a mano come promemoria di unità e armonia e un'impronta energetica di vibrazioni premurose che si muovono nel mondo.
