I mesi di maggio e giugno sono stati eccezionalmente tropicali nei loro temporali pomeridiani. Ogni giorno intorno alle 15.00 le nuvole, cariche d'acqua, cominciano a riempire il cielo. Poi inizia la pioggia.
Il giorno successivo la mattina sorge inondando il giardino di sole mentre la temperatura sale dolcemente con l'avanzare della giornata.
Allora cosa succede? Tutto comincia a crescere. Si può quasi sentire la crescita! A volte è un ruggito vibrazionale. Le piante raddoppiano di dimensioni nel giro di un giorno o due. Le erbacce diventano simili ad alberi e le sentieri si trasformano in masse di rampicanti ed erba che si diffonde a un ritmo che non si vedeva da anni.
L'aria comincia a riempirsi del rumore di tagliaerba, motoseghe e trattori provenienti dalle proprietà vicine, ma il suono più comune è un continuo sibilo dei decespugliatori.
Ad Appamada c'è una buona selezione di utensili manuali, una motosega e un tagliaerba, che anche se vecchio, fa ancora il suo lavoro. Quello che è mancato è il 'trimmer', uno strumento indispensabile.
A volte le cose arrivano quando meno te lo aspetti e più ne hai bisogno! Ora siamo entusiasti di annunciare che un decespugliatore Greenworks è stato aggiunto ai nostri attrezzi da giardino! Grazie The months of May and June have been exceptionally tropical in their unfamiliar afternoon thunderstorms. Every day around 15.00 clouds carrying water begin filling the sky. Then the rain starts. The next day the morning dawns flooding the garden with sunlight while the temperature gently rises as the day progresses. Then what happens? Everything begins to grow. One can almost hear the growth! At times it is a vibrational roar. Plants double in size in a matter of a day or two. The weeds become tree-like and the walkways turn into masses of tumbled vines and grass spreading at a pace not seen in years. The air begins to fill with the sound of lawnmowers, chainsaws, and tractors from neighboring properties but the most common sound is a continuous whizzing from the weed cutters or string trimmers. At Appamada there is a good selection of hand tools, a chainsaw, and a lawn mower, that even if old, still does the job. What has been missing is the trimmer, an essential tool.
Sometimes things arrive when least expected and most needed! We are now thrilled to say a Greenworks String Trimmer has been added to our garden tools! Thank you!
