Linda Hollier at Piazza del Popolo, Giubileo degli Artisti 2025, February 19-23, from 19.00 to 23.00
There are moments in life when you know something special is happening. You can just feel it. I knew it was one of these moments when I got a call from my dear friend and artist, Linda Hollier, telling me she had been invited to participate in an exhibition/event in Piazza del Popolo in Rome, Italy. This piazza is one of the most famous and significant in Italy.
Linda and I became friends in 2014 during a chance meeting at the Google Headquarters in Dublin. We were both attending the Wisdom 2.0 conference. Since then we have worked together as artist and consultant on many art projects. We make a great team and have a lot of fun doing it.
Thanks to Linda's continuous curiosity and ever-active pioneer spirit she has the opportunity to meet many new people. Her interest and participation in discovering the alternative reality of The Metaverse allowed her to meet and work with Stefano Favaretto, an Italian artist who curates and organizes digital exhibitions and projects worldwide.
Two of Linda's iPhone artworks, Diversity and Fraternity will be projected onto the ancient paving stones of the piazza, along with works of other international artists. Not only will they be projected but they have been animated. This has opened a powerful new direction for Linda, who has experimented with stillness and motion as concurrent energetic qualities to capture in her pieces. Exploring this new possibility she can now animate her works, and dive even more deeply into new expressions of this idea.
